Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a support group of volunteers dedicated to augmenting the excellent service provided to the community by the Coloma Public Library.
Members meet April, May, June, September, and October to plan fund raising events, the proceeds of which provide materials and equipment not provided by the library operating budget. In addition, they review these and and other needs for the library with the director. Some of the things that the Friends have purchased are:
- Computers
- Printers
- Summer performers for Reading Program
- Prizes for reading programs
- Other equipment and programs
Membership is open to all interested in supporting and promoting library activities and programs. Participation ranges from simply paying annual dues ($10) to participating and/or planning activities and programs.
